Too much work probably, but could you compare the view of southern England to Google Earth photos, to figure out where you were? Cross-checking with the flight paths of commercial airlines landing at Gatwick. Where were you flying from?
A good sister would do that for you, in her spare unemployed time. But you do not have a good sister, apparently.
