No Diet Gingerale.

I went to the grocery store for diet gingerale. This is the row of soda. There was no diet gingerale of any brand whatsoever.

OK, I know this isn't a tragedy like tsunamis, earthquakes, nuclear disasters etc. But, in the absence of these tragedies, is a little diet gingerale too much to expect?

Try asking your grocer. They may or may not be able to get some.

There is one and only one store in the NE Portland area that we have found to reliably carry Diet Ginger Ale (aside from some really awful generic brand stuff, available at one other store). A Safeway on Sandy -- not a specialty store, or even a unique thing in any way. Frequently they are bare-shelved, I think because -- being the one store to carry it, everyone in the local population who wants some buys it there.

It must be a regional thing, and most Pacific Northwesterners haven't discovered the bounteous benefits of Canada Dry Diet Ginger Ale. They drink local micro-brewed beers instead.

Unexpected regional difference? There's a case of it in our basement.

But then I don't understand Dunkin Donuts either.
