This is what I saw from my bed when I opened my eyes this morning. Only 3 or 4 inches, but it's one of those perfect winter days - blue sky, snow covering everything, not too cold.
Here's another picture of our backyard taken a little later.
We have similar snow 2 miles to the south, and 2 miles to the north of us ~ yet none where we are... Drat! We'd love to wake to a snowy, bright boise-morn. It appears we're in the swale of two flanking hills (together called 'Camelsback', Light-snowfalls misses us. ~ Hopefully by the end of the week we'll have a ground covering, as more snow is expected.
I love waking to mornings like you have in Ipswich, and tospreading a good book or newspaper across the table (in the sun). Then enjoy a good cuppa and a good read... bliss!

Yes, the morning you describe is The Best, Andrew. Hope you get one soon.
ReplyDeleteWhereas in PDX, we are getting the cold, and a completely unnerving bright dry sky. No snow, no rain, just cold.
ReplyDeleteI don't like cold.
Bummer, Vivi. Cold on its own is bad. It needs snow to make it liveable.
